  1. TLCPak is a shareware program which may serve as a front-end to PKZip or
  2. be used as a stand-alone compression routine.  Two compression routines are
  3. included.  One routine is optimized for time and the other for size.
  4.  
  5. You should have the following files:
  6. 1.  TLCPak.EXE
  7. 2.  TLCPak1C.DLL
  8. 3.  TLCPres1.DLL -- used only with TLCSpeed and TLCSize compression options
  9. 4.  TLCPak10.HLP
  10. 5.  PKALL.PIF -- used only with PKZip
  11. 6.  Pk386.PIF  -- used only with PKZip in enhanced mode
  12. 7.  Read-Pak.TXT  -- this file
  13. 8.  Reg-Pak.Txt  -- registration form for this shareware
  14. 8.  SetUpPak.bat -- installation program
  15. 9.  Update.Doc  --  contains changes to documentation and included only
  16.                    on disks shipped after registration.
  17. 10. VBRun100.DLL -- a Microsoft Runtime library - ship with some vendor
  18.                     disks and all disks received from Software Engineering
  19.                     and Fabrication.  Also available on most BBS's that 
  20.                     carry shareware.

  22. Execute SetUpPak with three parameters:source dir, dest dir, and system dir.
  23. For example, Type:
  24.   SetUpPak.bat a: c:\utility c:\windows\system
  25. to setup the program on c:\utility from drive A: with a windows system
  26. directory at C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM.  Note: none of the paths have a trailing 
  27. slash (\).

  29. This program requires VBRun100.DLL, a Microsoft Visual BASIC DLL.  This 
  30. DLL is available on most bulletin boards that carry shareware.  It is also 
  31. included with the program,TLCFnd, from Software Engineering and Fabrication.
  32. TLCFnd is used to find a file or specific text in a file.  The files to be 
  33. included in the search may use wildcards and the text to be found may use
  34. ANDS and ORS.  The file text may be read from inside TLCFnd.  Registration
  35. schedule is the same as TLCPak.

  37. You may now launch the program from the main window of Windows by pressing 
  38. ALT FR to execute the File|Run menu.  The menu will request the name of 
  39. the program that you want to run.  When it does, enter TLCPAK.  For more 
  40. convenience you may want to add the item to you launch window.
